Transfer calls to a person

Short guides for running your AI phone assistant.

← All guides

Let your assistant connect callers to you or your staff, live.

When a caller asks for a person by name ("Can I talk to Dr Mehta?"), asks for what someone handles, or insists on a human, your assistant can connect them, live.

Set it up

  1. Open Settings → Call transfers.
  2. Add up to 5 people: name (as callers ask for them), phone, what they handle, and their days and hours.
  3. Optionally, write what it should say when nobody picks up.
  4. Save the SakhaCare number shown there in their phones as "SakhaCare call", so they know to pick up.

What callers hear

  1. "I am connecting you, please stay on the line", then ringing.
  2. When the person picks up, your assistant says who is calling and why ("Ramesh ji is calling about a knee pain appointment"), so both hear it, and leaves the call.

If nobody picks up

After about 25 seconds, or at once if they are busy or decline, your assistant comes back to the caller, says your message (or "Sorry, they cannot take the call right now; they will call you back soon"), takes a call-back request with the caller's name and number, and your team gets the usual alert. It may offer once to try another available person.

Outside their hours

It does not ring them. It tells the caller when they take calls and takes a call-back request.

The talk time after a transfer counts towards your plan's minutes. The part after the transfer is not recorded.
